I began Moobaacluck in 2007 and after ten years of designing primarily children's gifts I want the freedom to design and paint beautiful things for people of all ages who simply love what I do.
For 25 years I've worked as an illustrator and this business is an extension of that.
InkPaintPaper is in its infancy but I have been pondering changing the brand name for four years to this! Currently I design expressive greeting cards for many occasions; wrapping paper; beautifully hand painted wooden decorations and fun prints - most of which can be personalised. Gradually over the next few months I will be concentrating on art prints, cards and gift wrap.
I will also be offering logo and strapline services using my handwriting capabilities! For more about this please read through "Collaborate"; there will be examples to look at there in early June. That's the aim.
I was inspired to start in business by wanting to be at home with for my children and use my talents to bring in some income. I began by making cards and gifts for all the birthday parties my toddlers were invited to. Now my son is almost as tall as my husband and I feel drawn more to all things arty! It's a new adventure but you will find your favourites for a long while to come.
Origins of materials:
The wooden shapes I design are either laser cut in Scotland or cut by hand by a Norfolk craftsman using sustainable birch plywood of a variety of thicknesses. The wrapping paper is printed using vegetable inks in the UK. All the cards and prints I produce are printed in the home studio using a variety of FSC certified paper stock and the same archive quality inks throughout. The small selection of manufactured gifts are all made in Britain.
